AGE aims to provide positive impulses to the social society in which it operates, by contributing to the socio-economic development. The company set up the SHARE Foundation especially for this purpose. SHARE aims to balance economic benefit with sustainability and human well-being. The Foundation considers having effective connections with the surrounding region as essential. Usually the allocation of the Foundation financial support is up to the local inhabitants through a yearly allocation decision process. Through its Foundation AGE wants to contribute to local economic activity, employment, regional and local sustainable developments, education and health care.
Ángeles del Chocó
A good example of the social role that the SHARE foundation plays can be found in the Colombian province of Chocó. AGE is active in Colombia in the field of renewable energy. Its SHARE Foundation is preparing to support the Fundación Social Ángeles del Chocó, in particular its football academy. This targets children from 6 to 17 years old with a vulnerable background. Amarak Holding CEO Karel Aalbers has been appointed honorary chairman of the football school.
